K-500 Monel alloy elbow
Alloy K500 is a precipitated hardened nickel-copper aluminum alloy, combining 400 alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and higher strength and hardness, performance beyond other nickel-copper alloys. With the addition of titanium and aluminum, the tensile strength of K500 is twice that of 400 alloy, and the yield strength is three times that of 400 alloy. This high strength can be maintained up to 649 ° C, while the material remains malleable and ductile at temperatures as low as -240°. Another advantage of K500 alloy is that it maintains non-magnetic properties at temperatures as low as -1290.
